Most fantasy worlds are owned by their creators.
AzNameh is different.
For a select group of patrons, ownership becomes literal.
The Seven Climes are divided into dynasties, cities, and eras stretching across thousands of years.
A Dynasty Founder can establish their own dynasty.
- Your dynasty or city becomes canon.
One can become Founder of a city within a dynasty.
- Founder Lords establish one of the great cities of the world.
Humanus can simply live inside a city with their own fate.
- A merchant, villain, scholar, …
One can become something extra ordinary, a primal force, something dark, something with exceptional power and Ascends as a Daeva.
This is not a thank-you credit.
This is world ownership.
Your Name enters history.
Your chosen humanus name becomes a canonical historical figure in one future AzNameh volume.
Possible positions include:
- Noble
- Scholar
- Envoy
- Merchant
- Warrior
- Villain
- Villager
- Other historical roles
This reward does not include a dedicated storyline.
Your chosen name becomes part of the historical record of AzNameh.
Names must fit the cultural identity of the chosen Clime.
Earlier patrons receive greater freedom of selection.
First patrons choose first.
Rights
Ownership of an Archive Edition constitutes ownership of the physical edition only. It does not transfer any copyright, trademark, licensing, translation, adaptation, reproduction, publication, or other intellectual-property rights in AzNameh or its constituent works.
All intellectual-property rights in AzNameh and its constituent works remain with Maison Artystone and/or their respective rights holders, subject to applicable authors’ moral rights.
Selected rewards — including Humanus of the Seven Climes, City Founder, Dynasty Founder, and Ascend as a Daeva — grant the backer a one-time permission to propose or select a name for the designated character, subject to the specific rules and limitations of that reward and approval by Maison Artystone and the author(s).
This is a naming permission only. It does not grant the backer ownership, copyright, trademark, authorship, co-authorship, licensing, commercial, reproduction, adaptation, or any other intellectual-property rights in the character or in AzNameh.
The character, its name once incorporated into the work, story, history, appearance, artwork, mythology, relationships, and all other associated elements remain the exclusive property of Maison Artystone, the author(s), artist(s), and/or their respective rights holders. All rights are reserved.
The naming permission is personal, one-time, non-transferable, and non-commercial. It may not be sold, assigned, licensed, or otherwise exploited. Maison Artystone may reject a proposed name that conflicts with the applicable reward rules, the world of AzNameh, or applicable legal or cultural considerations, and may request an alternative.
In short: you choose the name; you do not own the character or its intellectual property.
